Two seat deck landing, torpedo carrying and bombing landplane - private venture to meet the requirements of Specification 21/23. One 450 h.p. Napier Lion VA powerplant.
Type 572 Buffalo II As Type 571 with new mainplanes and a 530 h.p. Napier Lion XIA powerplant.


Projected Variants

Type 597Purely bomber version of Type 572.

 1 aircraft built as the Type 571 Buffalo by A.V. Roe & Co. Ltd., Hamble, Hants. First flew in 1926.
 R3/BTC/30021  G-EBNW  Converted to Type 572 Buffalo II in 1927. Fitted with floats at Hamble in 1928 and went to the M.A.E.E. Felixstowe under contract 818102/28 as N239.
