John Franks Fredric Thomas Picton Chittenden (b. 1881 - d. 20 August 1951 in Bournemouth), Chief Draughtsman at Williams and Robinson of Rugby, and Leslie Hampton Robinson (b. 9 June 1881 in Chiswick, Middlesex - d. 1936), also with Williams and Robinson, produced their first aeroplane, a pusher biplane, in 1909. This was followed in 1910 by a tractor biplane and later a monoplane for A.W. Seymour, Motor and Aeronautical Engineers of Rugby.

Production Details and Type Description

Biplane No.1
Single seat pusher canard biplane. A tricycle undercarriage unit was fitted, together with biplane control surfaces at the front, supported on a lattice-girder fuselage, wire braced to the upper wing.
One aircraft only : no c/n or registration.

Biplane No.2
Single-seat, 2-1/2 bay tractor biplane. The 30 ft. span wings were square tipped and featured single acting ailerons behind the top planes. One 30 h.p. Alvaston powerplant driving a 7 ft. diameter Weiss propeller, made by Messrs. Lascelles and Co., of London.
One aircraft only : no c/n or registration.

Monoplane
Single-seat tractor monoplane, built for A. W. Seymour, Motor and Aeronautical Engineers of Rugby. One four-cylinder 35 h.p. Lascelles powerplant.
One aircraft only : no c/n or registration. It is unlikely that this machine every flew.
