David Colin Bonsall of Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, designed and built a replica Mustang.The aircraft was built by Bonsall over a sixteen-year period and was first flown in May 1991.

Production Details and Type Description
Mustang
Resembling a scaled-down North American P-51 Mustang WW II fighter, it is of wooden construction with fabric covering. One 180 h.p. Lycoming O-360-A1AD powerplant.
Following damage in a forced landing, It was modified by Bonsall as the Mustang Mark 2, it re-appearing in late 2010. It had a prominent dorsal fairing, a recontoured nose and a more powerful 300 h.p. Lycoming TIO-540 engine.
