  • Garland-Bianchi Linnet 1
  • Two seat, side-by-side, low-wing cantilever monoplane of fabric-covered, wooden construction, with a fixed tailwheel undercarriage and side-by-side seating for two. The wing comprised a rectangular inner half and elliptical outer, all built around a main spar of unusual proportions, being greater in chord than normal, and the chord not tapering along the span. The fuselage was a spruce box structure, with a Warren truss side structure combined with three bulkheads and cross members. Formers and stringers rounded out the fuselage profile. The cantilever tailplane was also a single spar structure, and the fin was built integral with the fuselage. Compared to the original Emeraude, the Linnet featured a castoring tailwheel and 28 gallons of fuel in two tanks, up from a single 18-gallon tank. Additionally, the cockpit lines were refined to fair better into the fuselage, jettisonable cabin doors and dual controls were fitted. One 90 h.p. Continental C90-F powerplant.
