Type Description

  • L.25C 1A Swallow I
  • Two-seat low wing all-wooden cantilever monoplane, with tandem cockpits, based on the German Klemm L25. It differed from the German original with its more powerful engines and local strengthening to meet British airworthiness requirements. Typically one 85 h.p. Pobjoy Cataract II powerplant, but also 75 h.p. British-Salmson A.D.9R or 75 h.p. Pobjoy R as noted.
  • Swallow II
  • As Swallow I but featuring modified structure to simplify production with the curved wing tips, rudder and tailplane inherited from the Klemm original being made straight and with revised fuselage top decking.. One 85 h.p. Pobjoy Cataract II, 90 h.p. Pobjoy Cataract III or 90 h.p. Blackburn Cirrus Minor powerplant as noted.
