History

Aeolus Aviation of Reading, Berks, was the trading name of Poisestar Limited. The company designed and built two examples of the Kevin McGrath designed Aeolus Mk.1 microlight in 1982. Poisestar Limited ceased trading as such in January 1995.

Production Details and Type Description

Aeolus Mk.1
Single seat high wing microlight with fully enclosed cockpit. The fuselage comprised a CRP moulded pod, housing the pilot, controls, fuel and powerplant, and an aluminium alloy tailboom. The wings and tail were of conventional tube and fabric construction. The prototype wings were cable braced, but strut bracing was introduced for production examples. One 30 h.p. (333 c.c.) Fuji Robin powerplant.
